Bittern

Bitterns are a wonderful bird who's numbers are thankfully increasing again after nearly being extinct in the UK. But still they are rarely seen and even though I spend a lot of time at places that I hear the male booming. I generally only get one or two sightings a year. So I was delighted when I managed to get a really good view of this bird.
