Female Bittern in Flight

A dream shot for me as I'd photographed bitterns before on land and in flight but I'd always wanted to photograph one taking off. During the breeding season for bitterns at St Aidans 2024 the birds where extremely active and presenting many flight opportunities and this was by far my favourite of the season.
