Leaping Salmon in the River Ribble

Autumn is a great time to try and photograph salmon migrating to their spawning grounds. One of Yorkshires best sites is at Stainforth Force just north of Settle. This picture is taken from there. I’ve always found it quite a difficult thing to photograph trying to work out where the salmon will leap and then hoping you will get this fish in focus. I definitely recommend using a remote release so you can watch the water!
