Local Juvenile Little Owls

This is one of those images that took the most amount of effort and fieldcraft! I'd just come back from a trip to Bulgaria and my dad told me "I've got you a present" which was, he had found a little owl nest ,which was just a 20 min walk from my house!When I went to look for myself I realised that you had to lie behind an old gate and make no noise. If you waited long enough one or both chicks would come and look around. Once I got this shot of both chicks looking towards the gate I actually left the site alone.The following year the are had been fenced off so sheep could be put in the area so I've no idea if the nest was active again after that year.
