Zebra Jumping Spider Predating Spiderling

This day I'd found a ball of tiny Cross Spider (Araneus diadematus) spiderlings on a brick wall which is part of bomb dump at Skipwith Common. They are quite a fascinating thing to see and photograph on their own but as I was observing them I saw a male zebra jumping spider (Salticus scenicus) come into the scene. The much larger zebra spider then started to predate and eat the tiny spiderlings! A wild thing to see and I’ve been visiting this same site for since 2010 and not seen it since. A note that as I took this image many years ago it was before I used stacking as a technique and I was using flash which you can see reflected in the jumping spiders eyes.
