Spiky Ice

I found this unique ice formation on the side of lake Torneträsk during a cold period in the month of February. This was following a warm period which had increased the humidity of the air then, because of the cold temperatures that followed that water had to freeze on this icicle inside a small ice cave creating this spiky ice! Never seen anything else quite like it. I tried to compose the image so that very little of the ice spikes overlapped the rest of the image. This was a single shot with the Canon 5DS a 100mm macro lens and a Benro Mach 3 tripod.
